“Ed”ertainment Solo Concert Rider

Terms:

____ 1. Expenses & Honorarium : Expenses include all travel related expenses including roundtrip airfare, meals, ground transportation, hotel accommodations, etc.  The honorarium is indicated on the signed Formal Invitation Agreement for “Ed”ertainment. Ed prefers to purchase his own airline tickets (and car rentals).  LOGOI will notify you regarding airfare, flight schedule, and ground transportation needs approximately 21 days before your event date.  Payment for airfare will be due immediately upon notice.

____ 2. Multi-Media : The Host must provide a multi-media video projector system complete with video projector(s) and screen(s) capable of delivering clear, undistorted audio and video to the entire seating venue. Ed will use DVD's and CD's with your system during his program. The DVD player system should have its own monitor/preview screen so that the proper video can be cued up before projecting it to the audience. A second option is to connect his laptop to your system where your volunteers can operate the program from his computer. Please supply a minimum of two (2) adults to operate the audio and visual aspects of the program. A third may be needed to operate your lighting systems.

If your facility does not have a projector system, please contact LOGOI.

____ 3. Sound System : You must provide a quality sound system including stage monitors / wedges. Your system must be capable of providing clear, undistorted sound for the entire seating area of the facility. (Your system may need to connect to Ed's laptop.) Ideally , your sound system should be equipped with an equalizer, compression channels, reverb, CD player, and one quality vocal microphone (preferably a condenser microphone). Please provide stage monitors—very important—with separate volume controls. PLEASE, NO CD DISKMANS.

____ 4. Ministry Presentation : Unless otherwise agreed to and established by LOGOI and the Host at the time of this agreement, a special LOGOI ministry presentation will be made during the concert. This presentation includes an opportunity for people to respond to a special ministry challenge at LOGOI's table after the concert. For more information about LOGOI visit www.logoi.org.

____ 5. Projector Screen(s) : The Host must provide a projector screen(s) capable of delivering clear, undistorted viewing for the entire seating area / audience recognizing the majority of Ed's program involves multi-media.

____6.  Lodging: Please arrange for a pre-paid clean, comfortable, non-smoking hotel room—preferably where the hotel also has a restaurant or serves breakfast (such as a Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn).  When possible, Ed’s preference is stay at airport area hotels that have 24-hour shuttle service to and from the airport.  Ed often has early morning flights and this usually makes it a bit easier for everyone. Most hotels require a credit card imprint and signature to be considered “pre-paid.”

____7.  Ground Transportation:  Host shall provide a runner(s) with a car or SUV with sufficient space for one (1) traveler along with his luggage and concert related items.  The runner(s) will be needed for transportation to and from the airport, venue, and hotel

____8.  Staging, Lighting & Recording: Please provide a clear center stage, one barstool, and one straight mike stand.  If you’re using a portable video screen, please position it to the left or right of center stage.  Please utilize any special lighting (i.e. spotlights, floods, dimming auditorium lights, etc.) that you have.  If your have a video camera system that can project live video feeds to the audience—this can be a wonderful addition.  Such a feature must be included during rehearsal.  Recording or broadcasting the concert requires written permission from LOGOI.

____9.  Advertising & Promotions:  As sponsor, you agree to promote the concert to your church and community and sell and/or distribute tickets from your facility (if any).  LOGOI’s staff will work closely with you to help promote the event.  A helpful 13-week promotional plan is available via Ed’s website.  LOGOI will also provide “Ed”ertainment posters.  You can download bulletin inserts as well as a professional :60 radio spot and adapt them for your use FREE at www.edthompsonlive.com.  Ed is also available to media outlets for interviews.

____10.  Product & Mission Table:  Please provide two (2) six foot tables for display of Ed’s CD’s and products. Ed’s CD’s, books, and related items will be available for sale during his time with you.  Normally, one (1) volunteer is needed for Ed’s product table and at least two (2) for the LOGOI mission opportunity table.

____11.  Dressing Room, Snacks & Volunteers:  Please provide a clean, private dressing room and rest room facility.  Please provide several bottles of non-carbonated water for rehearsal and the performance as well as a simple and light snack for Ed roughly 60 minutes before the concert begins.  Please provide volunteers to help with ushering, parking, merchandise sales, security, etc. 

____12.  Insurance & Permits:  If needed, be certain your General Liability Insurance covers the event adding Ed Thompson and LOGOI as “additional insureds” to your rider.  In the event of a liability or litigation, the host church agrees to indemnify holding harmless LOGOI, Ed Thompson, their representatives, agents, and traveling personnel.  As host, you agree to obtain all licenses, permits, certificates, or other approvals required with respect to its engagement.

____13.  Cancellation:  All deposits are NONREFUNDABLE.  In the event the Host cancels within sixty (60) days of the engagement, 50% of the guaranteed honorarium is due as well as full reimbursement of any expenses incurred (e.g. purchased airfare).  In the event of cancellation of this agreement by LOGOI or Ed Thompson due to illness, any unforeseen emergency, interruption in or delay of transportation services, war, strikes, “acts of God,” or other such matters beyond personal control, LOGOI and Ed Thompson will have no liability for expenses or losses incurred by the Host but will work to try and reschedule the event.

____14.  Set-up & Rehearsal: Please allow roughly two (2) hours of set-up and rehearsal time prior to the performance—including all audio and visual technicians. A time of prayer with the pastor and/or event sponsors prior to the concert is greatly appreciated.

____15.  “Sign-up and Win:When appropriate, we like to have ushers hand out “sign up and win” flyers (provided).  At the concert, several names will be drawn to win FREE products.  (It’s always a lot of fun.)
